In Karnataka, Manipal Police arrested 22-year-old Mohammed Shuraim from Bhatkal within 24 hours of his attempted rape of a young Hindu woman on the Murdeshwar Express train. By reviewing CCTV footage and cross-referencing passenger records, the police arrested the accused Shuraim at his home.
